A Birthday Present for You

Since it's my birthday, I decided to give you a present. I'm holding a contest for books by two of my favorite authors. And they are both SIGNED.

GLITTER BABY by Susan Elizabeth Phillips takes us to the exotic world of modeling and Hollywood and is full of SEP's trademark emotion and wit.

THIS DUCHESS OF MINE by Eloisa James is a wonderful "marriage in trouble" book. I adored the whole Desperate Duchesses series and I think Jemma and Beaumont are my favorite couple.

All you have to do is fill in my contest entry form. Easy peasy! But if you want to comment and tell me your favorite book by SEP or Eloisa, I'd love to chat. I've read almost all of them!

Project Runway, Regency Style

It's no secret to my Facebook friends that I'm a big Project Runway fan. For my post at The Ballroom Blog I try to explain PR to Lady B. and she ends up a guest judge. Candice Hern provided me with an incredible array of Regency fashion disasters for the runway show. Come by and pick which should be Aufed.

And if you like Regency fashion, you simply must visit Candice's website. Oh, and read her books. Her six trad Regencies, some of my all time favorites from the genre, are now available in ebook at ridiculously low prices.

Letters: the Ultimate Souvenir

Heather Snowe is a new Regency author whose debut romance, Sweet Enemy, will appear in February 2012. That's one to look forward to: check out her website to learn more. When Heather interviewed me  for her Get Lost in a Story blog, she asked about my former career in rare books and manuscripts and inspired me to ask a question. If you could own a letter written by a famous person, past or present, who would you choose? Jane Austen? Mozart? Johnny Depp? Come on over and tell me. One commenter will win a copy of The Amorous Education of Celia Seaton.

Visiting the Word Wenches, talking dirty books

Mary Jo Putney. Jo Beverley. Anne Gracie. Cara Elliot. Joanna Bourne. Patricia Rice. Nicola Cornick. Susan Fraser King. It's a roll call of historical romance stars, and I cannot tell you how tickled I am to be a guest on their blog today. I'm talking about how my researches into early pornography ended up helping me write The Amorous Education of Celia Seaton. And I'll be giving away a copy of the book.

Come over to the Word Wenches and comment!
