This week I’m holding a drawing for STAR CROSSED SEDUCTION by Jenny Brown. What’s that about Scorpios? Jenny Brown’s book have a unique aspect: astrology. Now I’ll admit I’m not a big astrology fan. Nothing against it. And I’m not so arrogant as to dismiss out of hand a study that millions of people have embraced over many centuries. It just isn’t a great interest of mine, beyond the obvious fact that Virgos rock. (I’m a Virgo and so are many of my close friends: coincidence? Or it merely that lots of babies are conceived over the Christmas holidays?). But I find it fascinating the way Jenny weaves astrological readings into her plots. She really knows her stuff, and has made a study of the way astrologers of the Regency era worked. Apparently, like most things, the interpretation of the stars has changed over time. The heroine of her first book, Lord Lightning (which has a totally delicious bad boy hero, by the way), is an astrologer and reappears in Star Crossed Seduction to help Trev and Temperance out of a tricky spot. Very cool, and I was convinced.
