Win a Delicious Medieval: Kris Kennedy's The Irish Warrior
It's been a while since I had a giveaway. I often hear kvetching on the interwebs about how all historicals are Regencies and why don't other periods get published. To which I reply: 1) you call that a problem? and 2) it's not true. There are lots of terrific books set in other periods. And to prove it to you, I'm giving you a chance to win a signed book by my friend and fellow Richard Armitage lover Kris Kennedy.
As his men are slaughtered around him, legendary Irish warrior Finian O'Melaghlin is held captive by the despised English Lord Rardove. Struggling to break free, Finian finds aid from an unlikely source: the beautiful Senna de Valery, who is also trying to escape Rardove's bloodthirsty grasp. Risking both their lives, Senna releases Finian from his shackles so they can both flee, but their plight has just begun...
What's your favorite period setting for historical romances? Are you strictly Regency, or do you mix things up? Either way, I know you'll love Kris's book. Either make a comment here (include your email address) or use my contest entry form. I’ll select the winner at random on January 20th, no earlier than 8 am EST.
Contest ends January 20, 2011, 8 am EST. Void where prohibited. Sorry, US only, no international entries. No purchase necessary. All my contest subject to these contest rules.

Neither can deny their immediate attraction, but indulging their desires will put them both in grave danger. Finian vows to protect the woman who saved his life, but he soon learns she is a pawn in a much larger battle. For Senna has an unbreakable link to a priceless treasure many centuries old. It is the stuff from which dreams are made and for which men will kill-and not even Finian may be strong enough to save her...

I enjoy Regency the most, however, I do like to "mix it up" and read Georgian, Victorian, medival, and Edwardian--not too fond of modern romances anymore--loved them in high school but now they seem very far from reality. At least in historicals you can hold on to the fantasy--who's to say what happened long ago? :)
Can't say I have a favorite - being a history buff, it's great joy reading about all the different periods and gleening kernals of info on the life back then. Know I will love this book as Ireland really calls to me!

I love all historical romance, but Scottish Highlanders are my favorite. Regency time period seems to be my favorite, however, I even enjoy early American romances and good ol' western romances. Oh, and lets not forget SciFi!! LOL (I am not hot on contemporary though)
I love all romantic books.

Regencies are my favorite but I like the Georgian time period too. I used to love medieval romances but have not read one in long while. Authors just don't write as much of those as they used too. Thanks for sharing with us today!
forgot email addy! Oops!

My favorite periods are late Georgian and Regency Britain and early medieval (reigns of Henry I through Richard I).
I love romances set in any time period, but I do rank medieval above regency, but a smidgen.

I started just reading regency, now as long as they are histoical romance to about 1890's I will read them
I enjoy almost every genre of good writing: Regency, Medievil, Victorian, Georgian, Contemporay, Paranormal, cereal boxes, Fantasy; I think you get the idea!
My favorite is Medival..but also like contemporay, paranormal and victorian.
I enjoy Regency, but since so many are written in that time period, it is refreshing to visit other periods like Medieval. Nothing quite says 'Richard Armitage', errr.., I mean 'manly' like a knight in armor :)
I also enjoy Victorian and Edwardian setting as well.
I love a medieval story. There usually are battles and sword fights. The men are really strong and manly. They ride strong beautiful horses
I also enjoy a good regency the men are a bit more civilized.
I enjoy almost all genres of romantic literature.
I was a big fan of the BBC Robin Hood that Richard Armitage played Guy of Gisborne on.

I like a variety...Regencies, Highland, Vikings, Westerns, Pirates. The story is what's important to me. As long as the h/h get to their HEA in a realistic way, I'm happy. Thanks for the giveaway.
